A Gift!

Here's a cute gift my 8 year old niece gave as a token of her love and to wish me good luck for my delivery. She is really excited for the delivery and hopes that my zee-baby is a girl.

We had stayed with my cousin's family for over a week, before moving to Cleveland and enjoyed every moment spent there. Both the kids are well mannered and jovial. I got the much needed rest and with my dear bhabhi's care regained some strength too, not to forget her valuable advice, too.

My nephew is just 3 year old; too young to be excited for a baby but old enough to understand that he needs to be careful around me. He knows that if I am tired, baby will get tired too and shyly sings lullabies for the baby. He discusses with his mom what should he gift "baua" for the baby. cute..cute..

Kids of today are definitely much more smarter than what we were at their age! I mean the kind of conversations I had with my niece were some good ones. I cannot remember us anywhere close to this back in our childhood days. The questions she put in front of me made me pause for a while and think deeply. And then there were her own opinions on certain things. Opinions on subjects like marriages and babies and presidents! WOW! In our childhood days, we hardly knew anything on these topics. Considering that my tadpole would be 8 years younger, should I be geared up for more advanced topic at that early an age?!?

Also, I am really impressed by the way bhabhi is grooming both the children; makes me wonder if I will be as good a mother!
